Hosted by the Open Mobility Foundation, POLIS, and EIT Urban Mobility, this in-person workshop at Intertraffic 2026 will discuss how data standards can support the management of mobility systems and public space.
Cities increasingly rely on data to design safer, more inclusive, and more efficient mobility systems. Data standards and common formats are essential tools to help cities access, exchange, and use mobility data across public and private stakeholders. However, cities face evolving challenges in identifying priority use cases, accessing relevant datasets, and building the internal capacity needed to implement data-driven approaches.
This workshop will focus on concrete urban mobility work areas where data standards can provide immediate value, including urban space management, new mobility services, and public transport. By grounding discussions in these practical domains, the workshop aims to ensure that conversations remain directly relevant to the operational realities and policy priorities of cities and regions.
Through a participant-driven and collaborative format, the workshop will explore:
This event has limited capacity and is intended for representatives of municipalities and regions, European mobility institutions, mobility operators, and mobility data organisations. It is not a commercial or product promotion opportunity.
Cities and regions, as the primary target audience, will be automatically accepted. Other participants are welcome to register, and attendance will be confirmed on a case-by-case basis to ensure broad and balanced representation.
