Register for this upcoming in-person meeting jointly organised by POLIS and NOVA CIDADE Urban Analytics Lab, bringing together members of the Smart Mobility & Traffic Systems, Urban Freight, and Safety & Security Working Groups for two days of learning and exchange, which will include technical visits, working group sessions, and networking around the future of data-driven urban mobility.
Urban Digital Twins, virtual and dynamic replicas of physical cities continuously updated with real-time data from sensors and spatial models, are transforming urban planning and management from a reactive process into a predictive one, enabling decision-makers to simulate scenarios and optimise urban systems, including transport systems.
In times of accelerating change, Digital Twins can become a valuable tool for local and regional governments seeking to address key transport challenges. During this gathering, we will discuss how they can support cities in tackling three of these challenges: turning mobility data into better decisions, preparing for climate risks, and advancing zero-emission logistics.
